BIRTHDAYS

90th birthday letters can be requested from:

100th, 105th and 120th birthday letters can be requested from:

  • His Majesty the King
  • Governor-General of Australia
  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Governor of Queensland
  • Premier of Queensland

ANNIVERSARIES

50th (Golden) anniversary letters can be requested from:

  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Premier of Queensland
  • Governor of Queensland

 

60th, 65th and 70th (Diamond) birthday letters can be requested from:

  • His Majesty the King
  • Governor-General of Australia
  • Prime Minister of Australia
  • Governor of Queensland
  • Premier of Queensland

How to request a letter

STEP 1

Organise a copy of a supporting document to verify the applicant’s date of birth or marriage. These documents include:

  • Birth or marriage certificate (photocopies are acceptable)
  • Passport or citizenship papers (photocopies are acceptable)
  • OR
  • Statutory declaration to confirm date of birth, or place and date of marriage. The statutory declaration should be signed by a member of the family and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations. A link to a statutory declaration template can be found here, or picked up at a Post Office.

STEP 2

Download and complete the congratulatory letter application form.

STEP 3

Submit the completed form and supporting materials to my office at least 6 weeks prior to the anniversary so that the letters can be delivered in time.
