Across Queensland, 693 community groups will share in $16 million in funding from the latest round of Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) grants.
Member for Sandgate, Stirling Hinchliffe MP said five organisations in the 4017 and 4018 community were successful in receiving a share of more than $154,058
“All of our successful recipients do fantastic work in our local communities,” Mr Hinchliffe said.
“We are supporting a variety of projects such as the upgrade of the dust extraction system at the Sandgate and District Men’s Shed.”
“This is a program which delivers for our local community here in Sandgate.”
List of successful recipients in the Sandgate Electorate:
- Autism Queensland
- Sandgate and District Historical Society and Museum
- Sandgate and District Men’s Shed
- Sandgate-Redcliffe District Cricket Club
- Women’s Space
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Shannon Fentiman said eligible organisations can go online and apply for funding under Round 108.
“We know 2020 was extremely tough for so many Queenslanders,” Ms Fentiman said.
“These grants are helping Queensland communities get back to business.
“I would encourage any community organisations including sporting clubs, P&Cs and not-for-profits to apply for grants of up to $35,000 for projects that will benefit their community.”
