Member for Sandgate, Stirling Hinchliffe, welcomes new laws to stop Queensland motorists from paying more than the fuel prices they see on display.
Mr Hinchliffe said that the Palaszczuk Government has acted to ensure drivers no longer become confused by conditionally discounted fuel prices on service station price boards.
“As of last week, fuel retailers must advertise only the full price of fuel available to motorists”, Mr Hinchliffe said.
Retailers will still be able to offer and promote discounted fuel schemes. They simply cannot display a discounted price on their price boards.
