Local not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to apply for funding under the Palaszczuk Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund, currently open for applications.
Mr Hinchliffe said that grants between $500 and $35,000 to go towards upgrading services, or purchasing much-need equipment, are available as part of Queensland’s largest once-off grants programme.
“Local organisations continue to benefit from this grant, for example Volunteer Marine Rescue Brisbane, the Brighton Roosters and Singh Sabha Brisbane in Taigum have recently benefited from grant funding under this initiative”, Mr Hinchliffe said.
To apply, the Gambling Community Benefit Fund’s online grant portal has a wealth of information at your service and can be accessed at: www.gamblingcommunityfund.qld.gov.au/#/welcome
Community organisations seeking to find out more about this grant or how to apply to contact Stirling Hinchliffe’s electorate office on (07) 3639 9100 or via email Sandgate@parliament.qld.gov.au
Applications close February 28.
