Fisheries patrol officers to wear body cameras

21 Oct 2017

Member for Sandgate, Stirling Hinchliffe, said he welcomed the Palaszczuk Government’s role out of body worn cameras for our state’s hardworking Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol officers.

“A Workplace Health and Safety Review recommended the roll out of the cameras and they will be part of standard uniform by February 2018.
“It will help to ensure the safety of the patrol officers and with compliance and prosecutions,” said Mr Hinchliffe.

This roll out comes as 20 newly recruited patrol officers start work throughout the state – an increase of 20%
