I would like to let you know about some upcoming Sport and Recreation Funding Information Sessions being held in our local area, about the new suite of Sport and Recreation Funding Programs recently announced by the Honourable Phil Reeves, Minister for Sport.

| The priorities for the new funding programs will address the following four aims: | |
 | To increase participation in sport and recreation | |
To increase the number of volunteers in sport and recreation | |
To support capacity building of the sport and recreation industry and | |
To increase opportunities for equitable access to sport and recreation activities, programs and facilities |

Our government is committed to meeting its Toward Q2:Tomorrow's Queensland targets and these funding programs are an opportunity to support communities across Queensland in promoting healthy and active lifestyles. The programs are available to support quality outcomes and encourage the development of vibrant, inclusive communities.

Location: Lang Park PCYC Castlemaine Street Milton 10am to 12 Noon and
The Pavilion, Queensland Cricket, 1 Bogan Street Albion 6.30pm - 9pm"

The information session is free and more than one member of your organisation may attend. If you are interested in attending the workshop,
please RSVP on 1300 656 191.
As this is quite short notice, I understand that some groups interested in attending these information sessions may not be able to do so because of other commitments. If people are not able to make it to these sessions next Thursday, I would be happy to arrange and host another session sometime in the very near future, at a venue within the Stafford Electorate. If you are interested in attending such a session, at a date to be confirmed, please call my electorate office on 3359 1331 to register your interest.
I would encourage you to send a representative to one of these information sessions to learn of the new funding opportunities available to your club.
